To Access to secured online services and
demonstrate the large potential of Vocalid® technology,
Elva has concieved and set up together with partners a Vocalid-based
transactional European Platform named i-proved.
This project has been supported by the
European Commission IST Program.
The iProved platform is aimed at businesses and government
agencies that want to develop high value-added online services
while betting on the winning trio: Security - Ergonomy - Mobility.
The iProved based solutions are specially efficient for organisation
used to card issuing process like banks, telecom companies,
retailers, administrations.
iProved authentication:
- Via Internet : this ActiveX authentication page provides
secure access to any confidential data or private services.

- By telephone : the user send their sequence via an Interactive
Voice Server connected to the iProved authentication server
iProved payments:
For on-line payment applications, a Jet Multimédia’s
"Safetis" gateway sets up a bridge between the bank
card network, the on-line store and the iProved authentication
server.
Used in conjunction with Vocalid® , the Safetis payment
solution dispenses with the need for online buyers to give
their credit card number each time they make a transaction.
The customer's details are registered with Safetis when they
make their first purchase. Safetis stores these details in
a secure database, together with the buyer's Vocalid®
card data.

With subsequent payments, Safetis simply asks the on-line
user to authenticate his Vocalid® card. iProved server
carrier out the authentication process. Then, Safetis achieves
the payment process using the pre-recorded bank card details.
Conclusion : an on-line / off-line convergence
- Banking : Payments in stores; withdrawals;
electronic purses; online payments; access authentication
for online banking services.
- Telecom operators : rechargeable phone
cards; unified messaging; value-added voice services.
- Dot coms : Access control and customised
accounts; payments; loyalty programmes.
- Healthcare : Medical record access keys;
payments for services, drugs and insurance from home or
any other location.
- Administration : Payments in local stores;
access to administrative data; online booking of cultural
activities, sporting facilities or other public services,
electronic signatures…
- Call centres : Simple, instantaneous
caller identification; enhanced processing and productivity
- Clicks & mortar businesses : Convergence
of in-store and online payment and loyalty systems via a
Vocalid® -enabled storecard.
- B to B : Control of network access via
telephone or PC; electronic signatures (e-mails, contracts...).
